for sale - Epic size L : UPDATED 5/27/09 - New price: $575 Includes: Frame/Fork + Cane Creek headset, Ritchey WCS stem (120mm), XT front derailleur, and Specialized seatpost only. Other parts available upon request. ==================== Details: 2003 S-Works frame, Size L with upgraded 2004 rear Fox Brain shock, 80mm travel, with tunable bump threshold (size of bump that opens up the shock into active mode). When the rear shock is not engaged (via the brain), it rides very efficiently and firm like a hardtail bike. It only rides soft when you need it, not bobbing inefficiently when you don't. The fork is a 2004 Rockshox SID world cup w/ lockout knob and 80mm travel. It has a carbon crown and steerer tube. The bike is shown with slicks, but w/ knobbies, it weighs only 23 lbs complete. This was the first full suspension bike to win the world mountain bike xc championships. Also, an interesting benefit of this bike design is that you can still use two bottle cages in the main triangle, rather than the single bottle that most full suspension bikes force you to use. No Camelbacks needed with this bike! Frame has some cosmetic scraping and wear on the silver lettering which is painted over the black anodized frame (Specialized M5 tubing). The fork and shock are in perfectly fine working order, and have been serviced by professional mechanic regularly. The bike in its current condition is absolutely race-able. It was replaced with a newer model, not because of any mechanical issue. The bike rides great! I am willing to sell this bike complete, or as a frame/fork only, or in any parted out combination. I am almost 6'2" tall, with a 33" inseam and long arms. The bike is currently set up for my body, but you can obviously lower the saddle a lot. I also have several other stems and a flat bar, if you would rather swap that out. FYI, there are disc brake tabs on both the frame and fork, so you could easily swap out for a disc brake system.

For Sale - Gary Fisher MTB : 2003 Gary Fisher Tassajara GS, size 17.5", 26" wheels, great condition. This is a womens-specific frame, designed w/ a longer top tube and shorter stem for better control, typical of their "Genesis Geometry". Metallic blue/silver paint. $350 obo Bike was kept in storage from 2005-2007, after being occasionally used for city riding. It was used for about 3 months of light off-road use by a beginning female rider in summer of 2007, before being put back in storage after a different bike (smaller size) was purchased. Rocky Mtn. MTB : Frame (Size L) was a warranty replacement. It has very light use. I have used this bike mainly on the road for the occasional "mountain bike position" workout, or as a reference point for an uphill trail test to compare fitness to a heavier, full suspension bike. Frame is "Easton Ultralite Taperwall" tubing. Brushed aluminum/white two tone paint scheme w/ nice glossy clearcoat. Looks sharp! Frame/fork both have disc brake tabs (if you desire to swap out for an alternative braking system). Complete bike weighs 21 lbs. as shown. I am happy to swap for some knobbies of your choice. I have many to choose from. Rockshox SID Race fork (80mm travel, serviced, with lockout knob), Raceface cranks and stem (white), Thomson seatpost, Flite Ti saddle, Easton Monkeylite carbon riser bar, Sram shifters, Avid brakes/levers, XTR hubs w/ custom light wheels, tires shown slick, but can be swapped from many knobbies that I have. I am nearly 6'2" tall, 33" inseam, with long arms. You could fit this bike if you are several inches shorter than me, as my seatpost is shown in my preferred position, quite extended.
